Tone-Loc, real name Anthony Terrell Smith, has pleaded no contest to assault weapon possession and domestic violence charges stemming from an arrest earlier this year.

TMZ reported that on June 18, 2011, Smith was arrested at an apartment complex in Burbank, California. During the investigation, authorities found that Smith was in possession of an unregistered firearm, which was not used in the domestic assault.

According to Billboard, the rapper entered the plea Monday in a Burbank courthouse and pleaded no contest to one count each of possession of a weapon and corporal injury to a spouse.

Smith is sentenced to one day in county jail, three years of probation, 30 days community service and 52 weeks of anger management counseling.

The rap artist is best known for his hits “Wild Things” and "Funky Cold Medina.” He has also starred in films such as Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and TV series such as Touched by an Angel.
